Nuri sahin what kind of player
Marco Reus was in attendance, peppering the opponent's goalmouth with chances, and so too was Ilkay Gundogan in midfield and Mats Hummels in defence. Yet there was one player missing from both games. A central midfielder who has returned to the squad and over the past two seasons quietly reestablished his presence on the side.
Nuri Sahin , Dortmund's playmaker, is what was missing against Cologne and Hamburg and is exactly who Klopp must ensure the club don't lose in the coming summer transfer window.
Of course, before Reus signed his contract extension there would have been no doubt over who the club had to spend all their time trying to hold on to. Yet now that they have their star player tied down, Klopp and his backroom staff have to start prioritising the rest.
I cried like I never had before. I hugged my daughter. I felt her face against mine and I thought, I am so lucky. I am so lucky. He travelled to see Spanish defender Bartra in hospital and was heartened to see TV images of Dortmund fans welcoming stranded Monaco supporters into their homes. The match was rescheduled for the following night but Sahin, understandably, found it hard to focus on football.
It stretched from the very top of the stands all the way down to the pitch. It was awesome. And — even if only for a few minutes — it made me feel that everything was going to be all right. With a promising career at a kind of stalling-point, a move to Liverpool where he would hopefully get more playing-time seemed to be beneficial to both the player and his new club. In a space of three days the supposed defensive midfielder showed his skill in arriving late into the box to a devastating effect, netting three goals in a space of four days.
He desperately needed games to build up his match fitness and seemed bemused at the pace of the Premier League. He was virtually invisible in a few games as if he was hiding on the field, but hope remained he would prove a valuable member of the team when fully fit.
It is amazing to see him play balls into the box where there is no margin for error. Another one of Sahin's strengths is his shot. He is predominantly a left-footed player who can finesse or power the ball into either corner.
Sahin is a master of free kicks. However, he won't be stealing Ronaldo's job anytime soon. Sahin's pace will suit him and his teammates at Real Madrid. His style of play is often compared to the play of Arsenal skipper, Cesc Fabregas. Not a bad player to be compared to, if you ask me.
